Product Description
The Sage Model 51 is purpose-built for natural gas submetering in commercial and institutional buildings, supporting tenant gas billing, cost allocation, and energy benchmarking programs. Because natural gas composition is well characterized and stable, the Model 51 measures mass flow directly without separate pressure or temperature compensation — reducing installed cost, sensor count, and ongoing maintenance compared to volumetric meters. BACnet MS/TP and Modbus RTU outputs enable direct integration with building automation systems, energy dashboards, and tenant billing platforms. Each meter ships with a 165-point NIST-traceable natural gas calibration, delivering utility-grade 1% accuracy suitable for sub-billing and ASHRAE 90.1 / IECC compliance reporting. Common installations include central boiler plants, commercial kitchen gas mains, makeup-air units, rooftop units, laboratory exhaust systems, and process burners. Available in both inline and insertion configurations to fit any pipe size from small branch lines through large gas mains.
