Fluke test and measurement instruments are the field standard for commissioning, troubleshooting, and verification work. Power quality analyzers, three-phase energy loggers, clamp meters, thermal imagers, and insulation testers cover the diagnostic side of an energy program — the work that happens before a permanent meter is specified and after an anomaly shows up in the data.

A three-phase energy logger deployed for a two-week study answers questions a permanent meter cannot: what the real load profile of a piece of equipment looks like, whether voltage imbalance is shortening motor life, whether a power factor penalty is worth correcting. Thermal imagers find loose connections and overloaded conductors before they become outages.
