IFM

Industrial sensors, IO-Link masters, and automation controllers for flow, pressure, temperature, position, and condition monitoring in demanding plants.

About IFM

IFM builds industrial sensors and IO-Link infrastructure for flow, pressure, temperature, level, position, and condition monitoring. Its strength is durability and standardization: rugged sensors designed for wash-down, vibration, and continuous-duty industrial environments, all speaking IO-Link so a single master can carry both process values and diagnostics back over one network.

IO-Link matters for metering programs because it turns a sensor into a data source rather than a bare analog signal. A single cable returns the measurement, the device identity, the calibration data, and health diagnostics — which dramatically reduces commissioning time and makes sensor replacement a plug-and-configure operation instead of a re-scaling exercise.

Emergent Metering deploys IFM sensors where utility metering meets process monitoring: compressed-air and water flow at the machine level, vibration and temperature on critical rotating equipment, and condition data that contextualizes why energy consumption changed.

IFM products

IFM's SD-series meters are gas-calibrated for nitrogen as well as compressed air. Nitrogen & industrial gas flow meters.
