Sensors & Installation

Do the wireless sensors require panel shutdown to install?

No. Panoramic Power sensors clip onto an energized conductor and harvest power from the magnetic field. A qualified electrician can meter a typical 42-circuit panel in under two hours without taking the panel offline.

What amperage range do the standard sensors cover?

The standard branch-circuit sensors cover 1-200 A. Larger feeders use a different sensor family with split-core CTs; we will size the right mix based on your panel schedule.

How often do the sensor batteries need to be replaced?

They do not. The sensors are self-powered for life. There are no batteries and no auxiliary wiring to maintain.

PowerRadar Platform

Where is sensor data stored?

Data streams to the PowerRadar cloud platform, where it is retained for the lifetime of your subscription. Standard reporting intervals are 10 seconds, with hourly and daily roll-ups available for compliance exports.

Can I export data to my building-management system?

Yes. PowerRadar supports API access and scheduled CSV exports. Common integrations include BMS platforms, energy-management software, and sustainability-reporting tools.

Who can see my data?

Only the users you invite to your account. Role-based permissions control whether team members can view, edit, or export.

Energy Codes & Compliance

Does circuit-level submetering satisfy IECC 2021?

Yes. IECC 2021 Section C405.12 requires measurement of total energy by source and by major end-use category in new commercial buildings over 25,000 square feet. Circuit-level submetering with end-use categorization in PowerRadar meets that requirement.

How does this compare to ASHRAE 90.1 Section 8.4.3?

ASHRAE 90.1 requires similar end-use separation plus hourly data retained for 36 months. PowerRadar's default retention and reporting intervals exceed both thresholds.

What do I hand to the code official at commissioning?

A one-page commissioning report with sensor IDs, circuit assignments, end-use mapping, and a screenshot of first-day data is usually sufficient. We provide a template with every install.

Pricing & Ordering

Where do I buy sensors and bridges?

All hardware and PowerRadar subscriptions are sold through our store at emergentmetering.com. Volume pricing kicks in automatically at quantity breaks.

Do you offer installation services?

We coordinate installation through a national network of licensed electricians. Reach out and we will price your project end-to-end.

Are you a Minority Business Enterprise?

Yes. Emergent Energy Solutions is NMSDC-certified as a Minority Business Enterprise and is COSTARS-registered for Pennsylvania public-sector procurement.
