Tridium / Niagara

JACE 8000 and 9000 controllers running the Niagara Framework — the open, protocol-agnostic backbone for building automation and enterprise energy data.

About Tridium / Niagara

Tridium's Niagara Framework is the open, vendor-neutral software backbone that ties disparate building systems together. Running on JACE 8000 and JACE 9000 controllers, Niagara normalizes BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, M-Bus, OPC, SNMP, and dozens of proprietary drivers into a single tagged data model — so HVAC, lighting, metering, and generators can be supervised, trended, and alarmed from one place regardless of who manufactured them.

That openness is the point. A Niagara installation is not locked to one controls contractor or one manufacturer's ecosystem: the station database, graphics, and logic are portable, and any certified integrator can maintain them. For owners who have been burned by proprietary front ends that became unsupportable, Niagara is the standard answer.

Emergent Metering uses JACE controllers as the edge tier for large campuses and industrial sites — polling meters at the field level, buffering interval data, running local logic and alarms, and publishing clean, tagged energy data upstream to the Emergent Metering cloud. It is the right choice when the site already runs building automation and the metering program needs to live alongside it rather than beside it.
