VorTek Instruments

VorTek Instruments manufactures vortex, turbine, ultrasonic, and electromagnetic flow meters for steam, water, natural gas, and process liquids. Its multivariable vortex meters are the practical answer to steam metering: a single instrument measures velocity, pressure, and temperature and computes mass flow and energy on board, for both saturated and superheated service.

Steam is the hardest utility to meter well — high temperature, phase change, wide turndown, and condensate all conspire against accuracy — and it is also the one most often billed to tenants or allocated between departments on a guess. A properly sized and installed vortex meter converts that guess into defensible pounds per hour and BTUs.
