Sage Metering

Sage Metering builds thermal mass flow meters for natural gas, biogas, digester and landfill gas, flare gas, and compressed air. Thermal mass technology measures mass flow directly, so unlike volumetric meters it does not require separate pressure and temperature transmitters and flow computers to correct the reading — one instrument, one signal, no compensation chain to drift or fail.

That makes Sage meters especially well suited to dirty, wet, or variable-composition gases where volumetric meters struggle, and to low-flow conditions where differential-pressure devices lose turndown. In-situ calibration verification lets a technician confirm accuracy in the field without pulling the meter out of the line.

Emergent Metering applies Sage meters to greenhouse-gas reporting, boiler and process gas submetering, digester and landfill gas measurement for renewable-energy credit programs, and industrial natural-gas cost allocation where the utility provides only a single master meter for the whole site.
