Sage Metering manufactures precision thermal mass flow meters for natural gas, compressed air, and industrial gas applications. Emergent Metering offers the Sage Model 51 HVAC series for commercial and institutional natural gas submetering — delivering lab-grade accuracy without the complexity and cost of traditional volumetric meters.

The thermal mass measurement principle provides direct mass flow readings without requiring separate pressure and temperature transmitters, significantly reducing installed cost and ongoing maintenance. Each meter is individually NIST-calibrated using 165 data points across the full flow range, guaranteeing 1% accuracy from day one. The 100:1 turndown ratio captures both peak demand and low-flow periods that diaphragm and rotary meters miss entirely.

Available in inline and insertion configurations, the Model 51 fits any pipe size from 1" through large mains. BACnet and Modbus RTU outputs enable direct integration with building automation systems, energy management platforms, and data acquisition servers like the AcquiSuite A8812. A local display shows instantaneous flow rate, accumulated total, and gas temperature. Common deployments include boiler plant monitoring, rooftop unit gas consumption, laboratory exhaust systems, and multi-tenant gas cost allocation.
