VP Instruments

Thermal mass flow meters for compressed air, nitrogen, and industrial gases — inline and insertion models that turn plant-air load into billable demand.

About VP Instruments

VP Instruments specializes in thermal mass flow measurement for compressed air, nitrogen, and other industrial gases. Compressed air is frequently the single most expensive utility in a plant on a per-unit-of-energy basis, yet it is the least measured — most facilities have no idea which departments or machines consume it, or how much of it leaks away overnight.

The VPFlowScope family measures mass flow, pressure, and temperature simultaneously in one instrument, in both inline and hot-tap insertion configurations. Insertion probes can be installed under pressure on an existing header, which means the plant does not have to shut down air to begin measuring it — a decisive advantage on continuous-process sites.

Emergent Metering uses VP Instruments meters to build compressed-air accountability programs: baseline total generation at the compressor room, submeter each branch or department, quantify off-shift leak load, and convert cubic feet of air into the kilowatt-hours and dollars the compressors actually burn producing it.
