State Energy Code Reference

Commercial energy codes do not agree on what triggers a metering requirement. Some scale with floor area, others with electrical service size. These pages set out what each code requires and the metering hardware that satisfies it.

California Title 24

California does not adopt the IECC. Title 24 Part 6 §130.5 triggers on electrical service size in kVA, and requires circuit separation by load type.
